My first interview experience in class.

I got a chance to interview with two of my friends from different countries. They are from China and United States. A friend from China, Cheng Long Mao describes a lot of things about his country and culture. When I interviewed about his family and culture he gave me adequate information about those topics.  He explained that they also have joint family, children and parents live together until they get married. One surprising thing was they have a law to see their parents when they get old which is really good thing for old people back to their country. They also have five days week days and two days weekend. Most of Chinese people cook their own food everyday and he also cook hi s own food in his apartment. He usually cooks rice, curry, meat, soup etc. while talking about marriage they choose their life partner by themselves. They meet each other in some ceremonies, festival, working place, school etc. He said that there is male dominant society in china and in occupation they have their own business, office in the city area and in village area most of Chinese work in a farm. From this interview I learned a lot of things about china and its culture. I really felt comfortable talking with him.
Secondly I got chance to interview with one of my friend from U.S whose name is Chris. I found him with a very friendly nature who explained different things about American people and culture, which helped me a lot to know about it. He said that they usually don’t have joint family. When children are more than 18 years they separate from their parents which I found really different than in my society. In my society, children live with their parents until and unless they want to separate from them because we Nepalese people believe that, to look after their parents is like worshipping our religion god and goddess. In our culture parents are assumed as god so to look after their parents is duty for each Nepali people. However, he said that it’s not necessary to look after their parents it sounded somewhat unusual for me. Food that he explained found totally different than my country. Most of the time he likes to eat from subway and usually does not cook food in his home. There is more freedom in his country and equally treated for man and woman. Finally, when I was wrapping of my interview I asked him to ask something to me. Then he asked, “What things of U. S attract you most?” then I replied people from U.S are really friendly, cooperative and independent.
Finally, after conducting this interview, I learned that how should we ask questions and react them. Also I got chance to develop my speaking skills by practicing with them. I built more confident level to conduct my upcoming interview. I learned how to build intra personal relationship to make my interview more comfort. I also knew what my negative parts are during my interview.  Collecting all those experience, I hope I will be able to conduct my interview successfully in future too .
